Tradition and modernity

Esprit de Vin invites you to discover or rediscover two renowned Burgundy spirits  : Marc and Fine (controlled designation of origin).  Our Marc is obtained by distillation of grape marc once the alcoholic fermentation is complete. Our Fine, on the other hand, is obtained by distillation of the wine lees once vinification is complete.


To develop our Spirits, we draw our raw materials directly from the heart of the Burgundy vineyards. Our distillates come only from Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune and come from a selection of the greatest Terroirs. This therefore guarantees us a quality raw material for both the Chardonnay grape variety and the Pinot Noir grape variety, which will reveal all the finesse of their aromas.  

Craftsman and pioneer  ! Our breeding method is a first in Burgundy since we have chosen to draw inspiration from breeding techniques used in the world of whisky. Thus, our cuvées are all aged in special new barrels (made to measure by our artisan cooper), or in barrels that have contained Grands Crus from Burgundy (Charmes Chambertin, Corton, etc.).  

In order to broaden our aromatic palette, we are also looking for barrels from other regions: Porto, Moscatel but also Sauternes, Cognac, Bourbon...    

Our meticulous work during aging, on each of our barrels, today offers us new and original aromas for these Great Burgundian Spirits. Each marc is produced in very limited series. We let time do its work and only bottle when we think it's time. Our prints are made directly on barrel. Our bottles are numbered, because produced by hand and in family.
